Trail Maintenance // Creekside Potluck // Camp Out
We are celebrating Independence Day a little differently this year! Please join us for a day of fun and camaraderie while we work a little on the trail system and give some attention to the Creekside Stage. These trail building days are a great way to learn about ways you can volunteer and get involved with Old Friends Reunion. You will be able to explore the property and get familiar with the festival grounds.
10am: If you want to get into the trails and help us rebuild what the last storm left in its wake, please come in the morning for a burst of trail maintenance before retiring to the creek for a swim and a potluck.
2pm: Potluck and creekside hang will commence, please bring your dish and come on out! Be prepared to swim. We will have some light painting projects, flag making and a group tidy around the Creekside Stage as well. We will be burning the brush piles from last year’s tornado and starting some flower beds.
We will provide dinner, most likely cooking over a fire, and to get into the spirit of the festival we will have a song circle. Please bring your instruments and plan on sticking around.
Remember to bring good closed toe shoes, and wear clothes you are not afraid to get dirty! Boots are a highly suggested! We have plenty of tools and gloves, though you are encouraged to bring your own if you prefer. We will have drinking water on site, but come with some of your own because resources are limited.
