Old Friendsgiving at the Ozark Mountain Smokehouse
1725 Smokehouse Trail | Fayetteville, AR 72701
Please join us this Sunday, November 23 at the Ozark Smoke House for our first Old Friendsgiving!! Our way of saying thanks, sharing stories of the festival, and remembering those who can’t be here. We will provide a beautiful home cooked meal, made with love by our incredible festival chef Reba Kees and Noah Richmond while we enjoy an all star jam from some of our festival favorites and local players.
We are taking inspiration from Dana’s long time family Thanksgiving tradition and hosting our version of an old fashioned hootenanny and family style hang!
We will start our evening of food, fun, music, and friendship at 4pm this holiday season. We would love to hear your stories from the fest, see your photos and tell you about next year’s plans!
This season can bring up so much for so many of us; navigating established family dynamics and remembering those that are no longer here to celebrate with us. We hope this Old Friendsgiving can be a new holiday tradition full of fun and laughter, while honoring the memory of our lost loved ones. Our “Lost Friends” set at this years festival was such a special way to connect with those who couldn’t be here and we are excited to bring their memories to life by telling their story or speaking their names. Moms Demand Action will be hosting a sharing circle where anyone can come to share, tell a story, or just enjoy the company of others feeling the same things we all feel this holiday season.
Please bring something meaningful to put on a group altar and add to the donation bin with non-perishable items or warm clothing. We can’t wait to see you again. 🍁🧡🍂
